We provide you with tools to create engaging and educational games for your students, and a large library of games to start with. Students never log in to play, so their privacy is fully protected. They can share their progress with you, but only if they wish to. The games are fun for parents too.
Our Apps
Spell. Find as many words as possible, using only the letters provided. You choose the required and optional letters, the answers (we help!), the scoring, and more. Click here to try a Spell game that we built.
Compute. Correctly answer as many math problems as possible, with or without a time limit. You chose the operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and the operands. For example, you can author a game with multiplication of numbers from 1 to 10, and division from 1 to 100. Challenges are selected randomly, so the game changes each time it is played. Twist. Conquer a spelling list with a twist. Correctly spell each word from a set of scrambled letters, possibly with some letters pre-filled, and possibly with a clue. You choose the solutions, the pre-filled letters for each solution, and scrambled letters for each solution. Click here to try a Twist game that we built.
Teachers create games with the authoring app. To try the authoring app free, register here. No credit card is needed, just your name, email address, and a password. There is no advertising. Players never log in or provide their name or email address. Cortex 's goal is to provide a safe , distraction-free, and engaging environment for learning.
